about leslie

In addition to planning destination weddings around the globe and being named one of the top planners in the world by Harper’s Bazaar, Leslie Price is also the exclusive social planner for The Metropolitan Museum of Art – the first and only event planner permitted to produce weddings and social celebrations there in over 30 years. While the recognition is appreciated, Leslie prides herself most on being approachable, down to earth and accessible.

With a background in interior design, art history, and architecture, Leslie brings an artful eye to each event she creates. This wide range of influence is seen in her work, which captures the essence of each client by mixing grand statements and meaningful details.

Prior to founding In Any Event in 2001, Leslie was the Director of Marketing and Special Projects for Men’s Health Magazine and later the Director of Marketing for Marie Claire where she planned parties, fashion shows, and leadership events across the country and abroad.

Originally planning a career in interior design, Leslie received her BA in Art History from New York University while taking supplemental courses at New York School of Interior Design. She then traveled to Paris with Parsons School of Design to study architecture before returning to New York.

Leslie is passionate about sustainability, equality, and education. She currently lives by a river with her husband Robert, daughter Molly, and dog Riley. When she's not planning events, she's sharing her knowledge of Event Management as an Adjunct Lecturer at City University of New York’s Hospitality Management program or barefoot, puttering in her vegetable garden.
